This workshop will focus on down to earth, everyday ways we can develop courage and gentle, open hearted bravery in our daily lives. We will be exploring the nature of shameless bravery, learning ancient Buddhist shamatha techniques of meditation, and discussing mental and emotional skills we can use in our daily lives to encourage the growth of shameless bravery in our hearts. Malu Wilder is a Buddhist Dharma (Buddhist teachings of life) teacher and the founder of the Mindfulness Initiative USA, a Mindfulness Training firm for schools, businesses and communities. Malu is driven by the task of converting the wisdom of Buddha Dharma into a non religious, human based modern approach to daily life.Through the early parts of his career, Malu was a martial arts instructor and international tournament competitor. He holds several medals from the International Chinese Martial Arts Competition circuit. Malu uses the skills of inner focus and tranquility that he learned as a martial artist in his current teaching, seeing a direct parallel between finding calm on the competition floor and finding calm in the chaos of modern life.
