A Jivamukti yogi has a sense of adventure as we venture to wake up. This practice is designed to take us to the edges of who we think we are. We focus with chanting and sweat with flowing asana sequences. You will be challenged only to the degree you need and are willing to be. All levels are welcome.
Sandhi “Gayatri ” Ferreira has been practicing Jivamukti Yoga since 1995, dancing with a hula-hoop since 2005 and training in aerial and partner acrobatics since 2006. She started teaching Jivamukti Yoga in 1999 and in 2005 became an advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher.
Presently she serves as the NYC Jivamukti Yoga Continuing Education Director and is the Aerial Yoga Director for Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City. Her love of yoga, acrobatics and aerial dance has led her to create a style of aerial yoga called Aerial Mukti Yoga™ and she has also co-developed a fusion of hula-hoop and yoga practice called Hoop Vinyasa™.
Through all of these practices, she has discovered the perfect way to share her love of the healing strength of yoga, acrobatics and aerial dance with playful intention and patience. www.sandhiferreira.com
